Nota gramatical: las contracciones son definitivamente la forma más usada en inglés hablado. Practíquelas mucho.
FORMA NEGATIA DEL VERBO TO BE USANDO CONTRACCIONES
Las contracciones en inglés hablando se usan siempre para simplificar. Así en vez de decir dos palabras, se dice sólo una. Aprende las formas:
I’m not
(I am not)
You aren’t
(you are not)
He isn’t
(he is not)
She isn’t
(she is not)
It isn’t
(it is not)
We aren’t
(we are not)
You aren’t
(you are not)
They aren’t
(they are not)
Example:
- It isn’t a bistec (it ísnt a bístek)

*** Observe cómo hemos sustituido los nombres de las personas por el pronombre they. En vez de Mary and Alice were efficient secretaries: They were efficient secretaries. Una forma que nos permite más rapidez.
