- ViCPS o vacuna de polisacarido capsular Vi, subdérmica o intramuscular, esta vacuna se recomienda aplicar a personas 7 días antes de viajar a países en vías de desarrollo en donde la fiebre tifoidea afecta, se aplica después de los dos años, tiene un 55-72% de eficacia, y se recomienda una aplicación cada tres años.
- Ty21a, es una vacuna bacterial atenuada, se administra vía oral, tiene una efectividad de 55-65%, y se recomienda aplicar cada siete años, después de los cinco años de edad
