Everything look okay until nearly at the end of 2007 when humane society show a video where it can be see workers given inhuman tratmen to animals, but also sick animals entering to the food supply chain.

By 2008 the USDA (U.S Deparment of Agriculture) confirms that contaminated beef entered to the supply chain , in the middle of all the uproar the plant where shut down.

Our group think that the main reason is the ambition ,in the bad sense of the word, and the greed of the supervisors just for ensure sales of meat. This it’s so unethical at such point that they didn’t care about the health of those who’re possibly goint to eat that food.

Ensure 500 cows at day just to make high profits the bussines provides stops seems good when they didn´t gave importance to the future people who’re going to eat that contaminated food

In conclution, they leave aside the ethics to meet a economical target.

Questions of Johnson & Johnson and Dow Corning

- Why did the managers at the two organizations have difference ethical stances toward their customers? (Hint go to Johnsons & Johnson’s website and look at his code of ethics)

- The managers had different ethical stances toward their customers because managers in Johnson & Johnson had internalized the companys ethical position thats why they followed the credo when they needed to make a decisión that would affect the customers health while in Dow Corning the managers didn’t really have ethics as their top priority.

- Outline a series of steps Dow Corning’s directors and managers should have taken to prevent this problem.

- They should put safety over profit

- They should have checked to see how many of their implants were faulty

- If the implants had problems they should have used the shareholders money to buy better materials to build them with.

- If employees had ethnical problems they should have solved them right away instead over turning a blind eye of ignoring the problem

- Also if the implants caused health problems they should have shown an interest about the customers health instead of ignoring it.
