“Instituto de Educación Superior Nuevo Horizonte” was created as a result of the enthusiasm of the members of the “Organización de Desocupados Independientes de Jujuy” (ODIJ) who had the need to focus on young and adult people’s interest to succeed in life by giving them the possibility to have access to a higher educational level. For this reason, our institution, which is a social management one, gave those who had no enough financial support to afford their education the possibility to study.
As in any large-scale project, it was not easy at the beginning. Having no physical building, IES Nuevo Horizonte started working at “Nuevo Horizonte N° 1 Secondary School” located in Alto Comedero neighborhood. Its academic offerings were a third level degree in IT, Pharmacy and Electronics studies.
After a great deal of effort, IESNH could finally open the doors to its own building in 2014, which nowadays is located in Manzana AP 27 Lote 13, 47 Hectáreas in Alto Comedero neighborhood. At present, IESNH has sophisticated, modern facilities. Besides, the institution itself is always trying to do its best to improve performance by increasing registration, broadening studies fields, and opening new rooms for each career so as to increase its educational quality. As a consequence of this, the institute is provided with a laboratory, a library, an IT studies room and a variety of comfortable facilities for the whole academic team. It is not only provided with the best furniture but also with human resources of ethic and professional quality.
So as to complement such a growth, the classroom area was expanded to “Nuevo Horizonte N° 2 San Vicente Secondary School” in Monterrico town in the same year. A varied academic offering is kept, IT studies, Pharmacy and Tax Administration and Management technicians are trained in the same way as they are in the headquarters.
As it can be seen, the success achieved is reflected in the institute’s short life. We always keep in mind our most important goal: making a social input of human resources who have job opportunities and even be capable of creating their own job source.
There is a lot to be done, but with all the accomplished aims, we are certain to be an institution which is going to change the province’s academic field.
