As we can see, the only thing we need to take into account doing the recruitment process abroad is the actual steps it takes to select a candidate for the job. India is the one with less steps needed to select a candidate, which can be a good or a bad thing because candidates would need to make an impression on the recruiters as fast as they can. There is not much time and they need to take advantage of every single stage.
The selection process almost works the same way in the three countries. It is used to ensure that the most appropriate candidate is hired. The first step in the selection process in each country is basically the same. They start off by reviewing the information (resume, application form) provided by all job applicants to determine which applicants meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the job posting. If the candidates meet or exceed the minimum job qualifications then they proceed to the next stage in the recruitment process (depending on the country) where it is decided which ones will get to the interview. The interview plays a very important part in determining a candidate's personality and all the issues, information, and questions must be properly addressed. It is of outmost importance that during the interview the applicant sticks to the countries' customs in order to avoid issues during the process or not getting hired because of not meeting the cultural requirements of the country.
Training
Cultural diversity is essential to maintaining a balanced organization but in the training area we think can affect in many different aspects such as the example of this movie. In the case of the movie if we were a HR boss first we need to match the solution to the problem the real challenge of employees is adaptability, don’t provide a solution that focuses only in identifying and memorizing differences. Sometimes employees can feel extremely uncomfortable acting against the natural style like in the movie. People can feel anxious embarrassed, inauthentic, and frustrated many individuals either can avoid these situation altogether, or perform them ineffectively. The point is to match our solution to the actual challenges employees face, or else we’ll be disappointed with the results.
For example if we were instructional personnel who are responsible for the design, revision, and delivery of courseware in international settings, we need to understand how cultural differences in instructional and learning styles, along with social customs and business practices, can impact individual and group performance. It’s important to have these points in the training area to difference of cultures can’t affect it: Recognize, Identify, Assess, Practice, and Learn.

As we know, countries have different cultures that show even when doing business. This is very notorious especially in countries that are located in different continents. Places such as India and the United States have very contrasting cultures and it can affect the way a negotiation is made if there is not enough preparation before having a meeting. For example, Indian people are very respectful of their elders, and they are the ones that should be greeted first. In the US it really isn’t mandatory and people are greeted in the order that they are seated.
Laws are of outmost importance when dealing with other cultures. When you don’t follow the customs of the country you might be excused for being a foreigner, but breaking the law is a completely different thing and will have bigger consequences on the company and the person representing it overseas. Countries such as China and Thailand have very strict laws and you should inform yourself about them before attempting to do business with people from there.
Another thing to keep in mind is the way in which people behave when they’re not doing business. It is important to understand the social attitudes that people there have towards potential business partners. Perhaps it is accepted to have lunch with them or even have a drink. Before doing any of these things it is advised that you ask someone about the acceptable behaviour and the boundaries that exist when doing casual meetings.
Currency is definitely something to consider when traveling to other countries to do business. You need to know the exchange rate and the national currency of the country. This will show the other part that you are interested in the country and you can discuss prices and costs in the two currencies. It is also important for when you’re shopping in the country by yourself.
In the case of the movie If we were from the HR department, would apply to employees a psychometric test to measure candidate’s strengths, weaknesses, cognitive abilities and personality/behavioral style, this can help to our department predict which candidates will be most suitable for specific roles referring to the differences of cultures as the case of the movie we can be more predictive and selective to choose candidates.
Many items that matter greatly to me in determining whether a job offer is acceptable tend to only appear in employee handbooks after accepting a position -- and are presented as non-negotiable requirements for employees to sign.
Examples include specific terms about intellectual property policy as it relates to open source software development and projects undertaken when I am not on company time; any firm-wide policies about severance pay; policies about leaves of absence, vacation accrual and roll-over, and maternity/paternity leave.
All of these things matter very much to me and they all have to be acceptable for me to take the position. However, asking specific questions about these items is usually not
