- Basic services: water and sanitation, electricity, public transport.
- General Services: Care and administrative.
- Training centers, businesses and availability of resources.
All these services as well as resources, will support the population and the tourist plant.
- The touristic plant:
Refers to the different facilities and equipment needed to produce services (accommodation, A & B, entertainment, etc.). These are valued by tourists for their quality, availability and price. Therefore, if anything is missing hinder the provision of others.
- Resources and tourist attractions:
These are the central elements of tourism, as these are the raw material, giving meaning to visitors and tourist movement.
These are classified as:
- Natural
- Cultural
- Cultural manifestations
- Folklore
- Technical, scientific and contemporary artistic achievements
- Scheduled events.
- Destination management:
This is responsible for giving strength to the tourist movements through motivation and incentives, as well as the responsible use of resources, know the strengths and weaknesses, develop marketing strategies and implement it efficiently, which routed to the destination competitiveness against others.
According to the proposal of this model, we consider the following management areas:
- Business model
- Care resources
- Financing
- Organization
- Human Resources
- Information and research
- Marketing
- Quality of service
- Visitor management
- Monitoring and evaluation
This also involves coordinating the public sector and the private sector. Thus, meeting the objectives of increasing the competitive edge over competitors while maintaining comparative advantage.
- Results
The results also called the triangle results, according to this model, it is based on three elements:
- The visitor: his perception of satisfaction with each service received during their stay; the number of tourists, length of stay, daily expenses, rate of return,
- Resources: level of conservation.
- The rate of socio-economic benefits: market share, economic benefit, employment generated, profitability, attracting private investment.
The result of this triangle, lets you know whether or not ensured the maintenance of the principle destination competitiveness of this model, and conclude that competitiveness is equal to sustainability.
Conclusion:
According to the presented model, it can be concluded that proposes a comprehensive study, which included all areas of internal environment, which through a good development, sustainable competitiveness can be achieved, especially keeping over the years and compared to other destinations that do not perform efficient management. Groups of factors that should be analyzed include from the most essential of tourism, infrastructure, resources and tourist attractions, the tourist facilities, and the superstructure (made up of the stakeholders: public-private management). Therefore it allows to know the attributes and weaknesses that must be eradicated, given that the satisfaction of tourists (demand) is covered and surpassed by the services provided in the destination (offer). Finally, it is important for the study of fate, for their sustainable development.
