ABSTRACT

Colciencias is the Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Promotes public policies to encourage CT + I in Colombia. The activities around the fulfillment of its mission involve arrange policies to promote the production of knowledge, build capacity for CT + I, and promote circulation and uses thereof for the development of the country and welfare of Colombians.

Colciencias now has the challenge of coordinating the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation-SNCTI, create synergies and interactions for Colombia expect a scientific, technological and innovative culture; their regions and population, productive and non-professional media sector, professionals, students and teachers of basic, undergraduate and graduate, make strategies and presence in research and development agendas.

It should also define the strategic programs for the country's development, complementarity of efforts, the use of international cooperation and visibility, use and appropriation of knowledge produced by our communities of researchers and innovators. All focused on promoting research and innovation that the country requires that we dream.
