Nor does the question is whether the market is a force for good or for evil. Its power to generate wealth and to expand the freedom has no rival, but the crisis has reminded to them that the market can spin out of control and that a nation could not prosper long when it favors only to the affluent. The success of its economy depends on both the size of its Gross Domestic Product, and the extent of its prosperity.

This brief intermediate seems that is addressed to the members of the Congress and other political forces to persuade the skeptics about their projects.

In terms of their common defense, they reject as false the choice between security and ideals. The founders faced diverse dangers, wrote a letter to ensure the law and the rights of man, a letter extended through the pass of the generations. Those ideals still light the world and they would not leave them for the good of the coexistence.

Obama refers to the previous generations who fought against the fascism and communism and realized that its power grew through its use in a prudent manner. They do not regret their way of life or hesitate in their defense and to those who think about how to advance their objectives through terror and murder the innocent, Obama tells them that collective spirit is stronger, and it can’t be broken.

They have been trained for each language and culture and for having tested a civil war and segregation. They can’t allow believing that the union bonds will dissolve and that the United States should perform their role in the advent of a new era of peace.

They seek a new advanced way for Muslims based on mutual interest and respect. To those leaders around the globe who try to sow the conflict or to blame the evil of its society of the West, they know that its people will judge him in what he can construct, not what it destroys. To those that fight on the power across corruption and trick and to make to be quiet of the disagreement, know that they are on the wrong side of history.

They promise to the persons of poor nations to help them in its farms, feed and educate the persons. While to the nations as his, tells them that they cannot continue to show indifference toward the suffering outside their borders. The world had changed, and everyone had to change with it.

In this strong section, he deals with strong and kind words establishing a new foreign policy.

Obama reminds those brave Americans who are in the army and those who have fallen. What is needed of the government is more responsibility. The recognition of every American of their duties with their nation and the world, duties they will benefit with joy. Being this the price and the promise of the citizens.

That is the source of their confidence, is the meaning of their freedom and their religions. Then Obama makes an introduction to quote the words of one of the founders:

“Let it be told to the future world…that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive…that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet [it].”

Before the common dangers, all remember those words. Hopefully and virtue, Obama says that they will confront what must come and asks the children to remind all these efforts to keep on taking the gift of the freedom.

He sets a parallelism between the citizens and the armed forces in terms of incorporation of a spirit of service. This is the call to the action for that one was looking. At the closing of the history of the revolutionary war is a great metaphor, and a good way to conclude.

As a cultural approach, I can say that the causes that gave rise to this were politic and economic.

The reason that involves both causes is the World Economic Crisis, which is considered by many economists to have been the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. It occurred despite aggressive efforts by the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department to prevent the U.S. banking system from collapsing.

Back to Obama’s speech, his goal has two messages that sometimes are contradictory. On the one hand exposes that the world is in extreme crisis and that the sacrifice and the difficult decisions would have to be done by all. On the other hand, expressed their extreme optimism that the problems could be resolved. With skill, he criticized old ideologies that idolized free markets like infallible and even expressed their main belief in capitalism.

This text has a great projection. The reason for great important of this text is that it set a record attendance in Washington & had a viewership surpassing 35 million. In the text, Obama presented the worries towards his nation and gave Americans realistic hope with a new way forward.

The consequences of this text, were the beginning of struggle against the economic crisis.

Personally, and in conclusion, I can say that this speech was the start of a new era in the USA because Mr. Obama combines the writers after his text with his intelligence to transmit a message with multiple metaphors with a great communication and expressiveness. No politician in Europe might have done it this way. After his speech, Obama thanked God and mentions that the United States is a country of Christians, Jews and Muslims, but bravely also mentioned that it is a country which includes unbelieving people.

Regarding my opinion, the text show that the USA was not always like we knew through the TV or the movies. It shows a real nation that was suffering economic problems by then but with all the work that President Obama did, they could to recover and now is one of the most powerful nations on the Earth. Obama did a wonderful job during his government and being the first black president of the United States.
