Alfonso se graduó de Arquitecto y continuo jugando basketball, hasta el punto de firmar con un equipo profesional venezolano y con el tiempo logró obtener una prueba con un equipo de la NBA y así fue como viajo a los Estados Unidos. Estando allá, el equipo donde militaba fue a dar una exhibición en una escuela de un condado cualquiera y ¡Oh, sorpresa! en las gradas de aquel gimnasio la volvió a ver, si, parecía un sueño, pero era una asombrosa realidad, allí entre ese público estaba la chica que le cambio la vida durante sus años en el liceo, Margaret, con algunos años más, pero seguía igual de hermosa, tal como él la recordaba, al final de la actividad deportiva, él la busco afanosamente, pero no logró encontrarla.

Entonces, una vez más, el destino intervino y así de la nada, apareció un niño de unos 7 años, delgado, de abundante cabello negro, ojos grandes color miel y piel canela, que se acercó a él solicitándole un autógrafo.

Niño:

- Sr. Suárez, Sr. Alfonso Suárez.

- ¡Si, usted!

- ¿Puede darme su autógrafo?

Alfonso:

- Claro, niño. No hay problema. Ven aquí

- ¿Cuál es tu nombre?

Niño:

- Mi nombre es David Yocot Spears.

- Quiero tomarme una foto con usted

Mujer:

Aquella lejana voz que hablaba en Ingles, era sin lugar a dudas la voz de Margaret, Alfonso volteo inmediatamente y de nuevo ¡Sorpresa! Allí estaba ella, el amor de su vida, Margaret.

Para ella, fue también una muy enorme e increíble sorpresa, ella sentía que su corazón palpitaba descontroladamente, la emoción de ese momento, era la misma de aquel primer día de clases, cuando se tropezó a Alfonso en el pasillo del liceo, y él, nuevamente estaba reviviendo aquel primer encuentro que le cambio la vida.

Ambos estuvieron hablando por horas. Ella le relató toda su historia, desde que salió del país, la operación y posterior rehabilitación de su mamá, como conoció a su esposo y padre de su hijo, un militar hispano que al igual que ella tuvo a su madre enferma en el mismo hospital, los sacrificios que hizo para graduarse de fisioterapeuta para ayudar a su mamá, como fue que decidió casarse con Joset Yvardo Yocot, como había muerto su esposo en Afganistán y mucho más aun.

Uno nunca sabe lo que le traerá el futuro. When he finished, it was the first time he saw the face of that girl who from that moment would change his life, but he still did not know; he was surprised by the angelic beauty of that girl, who still did not recover from an all from that blow so strong.

Alfonso, who had already been a student of the institution from the previous year, immediately realized that the girl was new, since he had never seen her there before, and being a small school, that was absolutely impossible to happen. Continuing with his chivalrous attitude, which by the way was not feigned, for he was a young man as kind as kind and gentle, he introduced himself to the newcomer, saying:
