CLASS RULES
Attendance:
- It is taken 5 minutes after class time, but class starts exactly ON TIME.
- It is student's responsibility to make the necessary arrangements with the teacher before his/her absence (homework, quizzes, expositions, etc.).
Responsibility:
- Homework must be done on white unlined paper, specifying in the cover: SUBJECT, NAME OF STUDENT, SESSION NUMBER, GROUP NUMBER AND DATE. It should have all the problems clearly numbered, be done neatly, be done in appropriate detail and stapled. If homework is not clean will NOT BE REGISTERED. Final answers must be circled or marked with a different color. Homework is due at the beginning of the class and your teacher will not ask for it. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to hand it in. Late homework will not be graded.
- The student must bring EVERYDAY all the required materials to work in class: pencil, eraser, recall card, calculator and handbook.
Honesty:
- It is UNACCEPTABLE to cheat a homework or during an exam. Anyone caught copying or allowing their homework or exam to be copied will receive a zero for that assignment or exam, and a report (Academic dishonesty).
Behavior:
- The student is not allowed to leave the room or to talk to other students during class while the teacher is presenting the topic.
- The student must sit at his/her desk in an appropriate way.
- Cellular phones should be off and inside your backpack while in class time, unless your teacher asks you to use it for an activity.
- The student is not allowed to drink or eat any food inside the classroom.
Respect:
- The students will show respect to the teacher, classmates or any person inside or outside the classroom. Offensive language is not allowed inside or outside the classroom.
- Students are not allowed to sleep, study or do any homework during class sessions.

The homework problems will be obtained from the following two books and you may find copies at the library or at different websites. Be careful with new editions, because the problem numbers could be different.
ST: Stewart, James, Single Variable Calculus, USA: Cengage Learning.
LH: Larson and Hostetler. Calculus of a single variable with transcendental functions.
APPS for tablets or cellular phones
- iGraphmatica. Application to sketch the graph of functions and their derivatives.
- Socrative for student. Application to use during class for quizzes or activities.
- Educreation or ShowMe. Application to record the explanation of a problem.
- WolframCalculus. To get knowledge and answers for your mathematical problems.
