This is the structure that support Microsoft, it is divided in different groups:
- Personal service group, their main activity is to deliver software and online connection for customers in an easy way. The Vice president Bob Muglia manages this group.
- MSN & Personal Services Bussines group, it is in charge of business development, programming and all the services involved in Online tools. Vice president Yusuf Mehdi heads this division.
- Platforms Group, it is related to improve the Windows services, such as communication, develop tools, etc. It is controlled byVice President Jim Allchin.
- Productivity and Business Services group, this division led Microsoft productivity and business applications and services, They try to make a strong effort to improve capabilities of Microsoft Office. It is head by Vice President Jeff Raikes.
- Worldwire Sales, Marketing and Services Group, managed by Vice President Orlando Ayala, this division is related to satisfy needs of customers around the world in different areas: Enterprise, educational institutions, individual customers, etc. Besides of this, this group include support services, Network solutions and it is the Central Marketing Organisation.
- Microsoft Research, managed by Senior Vice President Rick Rashid, it develops innovative solutions to computer fails making easier all the possible computer problems that could appear in the following years in the different areas like: design, innovative software, etc.
- Operations group, headed by President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Belluzzo, it is responsible for manage business plan and operations, that includes several corporate functions such as finance, administration, human resources, etc.
