This is the structure that support Microsoft, it is divided in different groups:

- Personal service group, their main activity is to deliver software and online connection for customers in an easy way. The Vice president Bob Muglia manages this group.

- MSN & Personal Services Bussines group, it is in charge of business development, programming and all the services involved in Online tools. Vice president Yusuf Mehdi heads this division.

- Platforms Group, it is related to improve the Windows services, such as communication, develop tools, etc. It is controlled byVice President Jim Allchin.

- Productivity and Business Services group, this division led Microsoft productivity and business applications and services, They try to make a strong effort to improve capabilities of Microsoft Office. It is head by Vice President Jeff Raikes.

- Worldwire Sales, Marketing and Services Group, managed by Vice President Orlando Ayala, this division is related to satisfy needs of customers around the world in different areas: Enterprise, educational institutions, individual customers, etc. Besides of this, this group include support services, Network solutions and it is the Central Marketing Organisation.

- Microsoft Research, managed by Senior Vice President Rick Rashid, it develops innovative solutions to computer fails making easier all the possible computer problems that could appear in the following years in the different areas like: design, innovative software, etc.

- Operations group, headed by President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Belluzzo, it is responsible for manage business plan and operations, that includes several corporate functions such as finance, administration, human resources, etc.

- Microsoft Subsidiareis:

Due to the success of its Windows and Office tools, Microsoft wants to expand their products and services to cover and compete in different areas. Videogame console is very attractive for them, because the console gaming market is increasing a lot in the lasts years. Microsoft is now looking to compete with Nintendo and Sony, which are the two main competitors with a lot of experience.

- Gaming History:

Microsoft's contributions to gaming industry are not comparable with their main competitors (Sony, Nintendo). Microsoft had participated in the creation of MSX gaming computers and helped to create and establish PC franchises. The main contribution of Microsoft to this industry are some of the more notable PC titles, under Microsoft brand: The Age of Empires series, Allegiance, the Close Combat series, Combat Flight Simulator, Crimson Skies, Dungeon Siege, Flight Simulator 2000, Freelancer, Links LS 2000, Loose Cannon, MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, Metal Gear Solid, Monster Truck Madness, etc.

- Online Gaming Zone:

Microsoft has to compete in this industry using their potential in the online gaming. The MSN Gaming Zone had registered 12 millions of members around the world with more than 100 games to play. The online game users are growing more and more each year, so the Gaming Zone and it is a very important ability for Microsoft in order to establish a successful network gaming system and obtain a uncovered market portion of the market.
