Radostin Kurtev y Mariusz Gromadzki, ambos investigadores de la Universidad de Valparaíso y del Instituto Milenio de Astrofísica MAS, usando el observatorio espacial WISE (NASA) y los telescopios más poderosos ubicados en la Tierra que están en el norte de nuestro país (telescopio Gemini en Cerro Pachón, el telescopio Magallanes en Las Campanas y el NTT en La Silla).
