- High-density

Polyethylene is a polymer of the family of the olefinic hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly polymers (such as the polypropylene), or the polyethylenes. Its formula is ( -CH2-CH2- ). It is a polimerotermoplastico composed of repetitive units of ethylene. It is designated as HDPE (by its acronym in english, High Density Polyethylene) or HDPE (high density polyethylene). This material is used, among other things, for the development of disposable plastic containers.

- Characteristics of the high-density polyethylene

High density polyethylene is a polymer that is characterized by:

- Excellent thermal and chemical resistance.

- Very good resistance to impact

- Is solid, colorless, translucent, almost opaque.

- Very good processability, i.e. it can be processed by the methods of forming employees for thermoplastics, such as injection and extrusion.

- Is flexible, even at low temperatures.

- Is tenacious. Thirty-fourth Ordinary Session

- is more rigid than the low-density polyethylene.

- Presents difficulties to print, paint or paste on the.

- Is very lightweight.

- Your density is found in the environment of 0,940 - 0,970 g/cm3.

- Is Not attacked by acids, water resistant to 100 ºC and the majority of the regular solvents.

- It is far better mechanical and thermal recycling.

- Guadua bamboo

Is a genus of plants of the subfamily of bamboo, of the family Poaceae.

In the year of 1806 was described by Alexander von Humboldt and Bonpland Amadeo who saw this plant in Colombia and llamaronBambusa guadua bamboo, then in 1822 it was classified by Carl Sigismund Kunth as Guadua angustifolia. It is considered as one of the most representative plants native to the Andean cloud forest.

This resource is used since remote times part of the primitive inhabitants of the Andes, and currently continues to be used, especially in the center-west region of Colombia. We do not know the true origin of the word guadua bamboo, although some specialists believe that could be Venezuelan. These versions of the variants emerge "Guaduas", "guafa" with which this plant is known in this country. And it is also often emplar the term"guasdua" as it reminds us of the city of Guasdualito, in Venezuela.

- Poaceae

Are a family of herbaceous plants, or very rarely woody, belonging to the order grasses of the monocots. With more than 820 genera and about 12 100 described species, the grasses are the fourth family with the highest species richness then Compositae, orchids and legumes; but, definitely, is the first in overall
