The main attraction is a fountain with three waterfalls decorated with statues representing the beautiful women of the jungle.
- San Francisco Botanical Garden (San Martín)
Visiting Hours : Daytime.
Location : Jr. Arequipa block 1.
A centre for the study and conservation of native flora and exotic plants.
- San Mateo Hot Springs (Mayobamba)
Visiting Hours : Daytime.
Location : 4 km from Moyobamba (5 minutes by car).
Known for their medicinal properties, it is said that the waters are ideal for treating arthritis, rheumatism, muscular pains and stress. The temperature varies between 32°C and 40°C.
- Renacal del Avisado Aguajales (Moyobamba)
Visiting Hours : Daytime.
Location : 20 km from Moyobamba to the Boca de Huascayacu (Mayo river port) on paved road (40 minutes by car). Afterwards on motorboat to Tingara (Avisado river) (1 hour).
A wet and globally unique ecosystem due to its altitude (800 masl). Highlights of its abundant plants are the aguaje palm and the renaco. This is a habitat for mammals (otters, capuchin monkeys, marmosets, tufted capuchin monkeys and sloths), birds, fish, reptiles and insects.
- Morro de Calzada (Moyobamba)
Visiting Hours : Daytime.
Location : 13 km north of Moyobamba (15 minutes by car to La Calzada district, 20 minutes to the foot of Morro hill and 1 hour to the top).
Located deep within the high jungle (600 masl). A natural panoramic 360° viewpoint featuring calcium formations, with a climate typical of wet cloud forests, the area is mild by day and cold at night.
- Paccha Waterfalls (Moyobamba)
Visiting Hours : Daytime.
Location : 30 km from Moyobamba (1 hour 45 minutes by car and a further 15 minute walk).
Surrounded by leafy vegetation, its waters come from the Paccha ravine. There are three, 30-metre high waterfalls that form natural pools ideal for bathing.
- Gran Pajaten Archaeological Site (Mariscal Cáceres)
Visiting Hours : Daytime.
Location : The most direct access is by Trujillo (30 minutes by plane) to the town of Chagual; from there 40 Km (2 hours by car) to the town of Pataz. Then it continues along a mule track 15 Km (30 minutes by car or 2 hours and 30 minute walk) to Chigualen. Subsequently 35 Km are covered in Sumpter (9 hours) to Puerta del Monte. From this point to the place called La Playa son 10.
Archaeological complex attributed to the Chachapoyas culture (1200-1500 A.D.) archaeological complex. On the right bank of the river Montecristo (2,850 meters), in Rio Abiseo National Park, declared Natural and Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. At first glance, the place seems covered by dense vegetation. The constructions extend from the sides of the plateau to an area called Las Palmas and has buildings on different levels. The architecture is predominantly of circular plants and paved platforms, with high reliefs of geometric, zoomorphic and anthropomorphic motifs as decorative elements. A 20-minute walk from the Sanctuary Funeral Camp Macedonio Pinchudos (2,800 meters), built on a large boulder, with colorful friezes and anthropomorphous wooden carvings is located.
